The Washington Capitals finally found their offense on Monday night in Florida. With four even-strength goals in regulation, the Capitals matched their offensive output from their previous 3 games combined under new head coach Dale Hunter. With their new-found offense, the Capitals will face the only team Hunter has beaten so far, the Ottawa Senators, but this time they'll play in Canada. This game also marks Hunter's first game back in Ontario since he left ...
BEST OF MAXIM
Check out this spear by Alex Ovechkin, that is unacceptable and it will be interesting to see if the league will suspend Ovechkin for his spear on Ottawa Senators tough guy Chris Neil. The video doesn't lie, that was a blatant spear and if Ovechkin doesn't like being checked he should take a number and get Neil back the correct way. To add injury to insult Chris Neil was...

Binghamton Senators 4, Connecticut Whale 3
By Brian Ring
Hartford, CT, December 4, 2011 - The Connecticut Whale fell to the Binghamton Senators, 4-3, Sunday afternoon at the XL Center. Mats Zuccarello scored twice for the Whale, while Binghamton’s Andre Petersson also scored twice, including the game-winner, to stop Connecticut’s winning streak at four games.
Jared Cowen is surely a quick study.
Ask the rookie Ottawa Senators blueliner about the benefits of playing alongside his newest defence partner and the answer comes easily and quickly.
"Usually, he gets to play a lot of minutes, so I get ...
SUNRISE, Fla. — Tomas Vokoun works in Washington, but his life is still in South Florida. His wife and daughters live here despite the goaltender playing for the Capitals. So he was thrilled for the chance to fly into town earlier Sunday than the team arrived so he could be ...
Milan Michalek won't insert himself into this race just yet.
But the numbers don't lie. Check out the leaderboard among the National Hockey League's top goal scorers and you'll find the Ottawa Senators forward right there alongside a pair of bo...
I have to admit, the best part about the NHL's new alignment plan isn't news that rivalries will be cranked up or that teams in the central region will now benefit from having more games scheduled within their timezone. No, the best part about any alignment talks are the inordinate number of unflattering Gary Bettman photos that will adorn many of the newspaper articles...
Alex Ovechkin scored one of three straight goals by Washington in the third period to lead the Capitals to a 5-3 win over the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday.
Nick Foligno scored 15:33 into the third period, Zack Smith added two goals, and the Ottawa Senators extended Tampa Bay's losing streak to four games with a 4-2 win over the Lightning on Monday night.
Neil hit Alex Ovechkin in the corner, Oveckin came back with a stick blade to the midsection of Neil.
No penalty for Ovechkin.

It’s a game night versus our expansion brethren Tampa Bay Lightning. As much as I’m looking forward to the prospect of watching the now-infamous 1-3-1 system, I’m half-hoping that the Senators can work in some footage from their expansion draft so fans can raise reflective questions like, “Why didn’t we draft Brian Bradley?”
Ah well, here are today’s news and...
