The New York Rangers (25-9-4) defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins (21-14-4) by the score of 3-1, tonight. For a boxscore and recap go to Yahoo! Sports....i thought for sure this team was going to get run out of the building tonight, but Torts takes one of his patented early game timeouts allowing the team to refocus and it was all Rangers from there. Teams must dread facing this hard working, never say die team....Lundqvist = filthy....the Dubinsky short-handed goal looked exactly like the Callahan OT winner vs. the Pens last season, only in reverse....i just want to thank the Canadiens again for not only taking Gomez off the Rangers hands, but also giving them one of the best young defensemen in the league in McD. He was a force tonight....Rangers needed a spark in that first period and who gives it to them? Mr. Clutch, Brad Richards. 18-of-23 on faceoffs as well....might be time for Boyle to take a seat in the press box....Rupp kneeing penalty might have been more ba...

The Sidney Crosby Speculation Never Ends

Listening to TribLive Radio this morning they were discussing how tonight’s Pens game against the Rangers is kind of a must win since the Pens are 8 points behind the Rangers in the standings right now.  But there was also talk about the return of Crosby, as I’m sure there is most times when you hear talk about the Penguins.  Some of the speculation is that he’ll be back...

Rangers-Panthers in review

For all the complaining we (I) did about the outdoor game, it was a downer going back indoors, especially at the World’s Quietest Arena. What a shame. Could you imagine a first-place team in the middle of a season in the 1970s or ‘80s and the kind of intimidation MSG would throw at an opponent? Granted, you can never expect the Sunrise Panthers to bring out the same kind of...

Devils-Penguins Preview

The Pittsburgh Penguins are reeling, and they might be dealing with the absence of another key contributor. The New Jersey Devils wouldn't mind capitalizing on the Penguins' troubles for the second time in a week. The Penguins may be without Jordan Staal when they attempt to avoid losing a fourth straight game Saturday night against the Devils. Pittsburgh (21-14-4) has...
