That has to be the New York Rangers’ motto this week as they begin their four-game Wester Canada road trip tonight with a tilt against the Vancouver Canucks. Just their fourth game of the season, tonight’s match will be a test for the Blueshirts. The Vancouver Canucks are obviously an extremely talented team that knows how to put the puck in the net. The Rangers are going to have to be able to show some offense tonight and for them, that could be tough considering what kind of start they off to. Offensively, the team has scored just 5 goals in three games and with the depth that the team has, that needs to improve going forward. With that said, in order to increase their offense, the team will also need to do everything they can to stay out of the penalty box. Why Everyone Hates Luongo

Roberto Luongo is one of the most beloved and hated players to ever play for the Vancouver Canucks. He’s the best goalie the team has ever had (with apologies to Kirk McLean and Richard Brodeur), has been a Vezina finalist, a Hart Trophy finalist, won a gold medal and almost won a Stanley Cup in his 5+ seasons in Vancouver. Last year might have been his best season statistically...

Video: Highlights From The Rangers Tuesday Night Win Over Canucks

… both the Ryan McDonagh goal and McDonagh’s pass to set up Gaborik’s goal were a thing of beauty. We also have to mention the amazing play of Daniel Girardi. Also some honorable mentions have to go to the rest of the defensive unit. Erixon, Eminger and Woywitka had very good games for the Rangers. [...]

What’s Up With Henrik Lundqvist’s New Hat?

“(Brad Richards) gave it to me. Someone bought it in Europe, and it’s going to be our winning hat this year! We call it the Broadway Hat! Someone has to wear it after each win, and today was my turn. I am going to try and wear this hat every game. That’s going to be [...]

Sean Avery Doesn’t Think He Will Be Called Up To Rangers This Season

… I don’t particularly agree here with Avery.  I believe if the Rangers are in need of Avery’s grit, skating and passing he will be called up to replace an injured player or one that has lost his game.

Rangers 4, Canucks 0

Henrik Lundqvist made 40 saves, and the New York Rangers broke open a scoreless game with four goals in the third period to beat the Vancouver Canucks 4-0 on Tuesday night for their first victory of the season. Mike Rupp started the scoring 2:22 into in the third, and Lundqvist did the rest just as he did in the first two periods in keeping the Rangers in the game. Ryan McDonagh...

Ryan Kesler Back

After a long stretch of rehab from the torn labrum suffered during last season’s Stanley Cup playoffs, Ryan Kesler is apparently ready to return. From Iain MacIntyre at the Vancouver Sun: Ryan Kesler’s path back to the Vancouver Canucks’ lineup has been cleared with the reassignment of sophomore defenceman Chris Tanev to the AHL’s Chicago Wolves, opening a spot on the National...

Rangers-Canucks Preview

The Vancouver Canucks finally got their power play clicking in their last game. The return of Ryan Kesler could help the club's special teams make even greater improvements. Kesler is expected to make his season debut Tuesday night when the Canucks host a winless New York Rangers team beginning a trek through Canada before finally stepping on home ice next week. The Canucks...
