As heard on the Team 990 on the Canadiens post-game show. Not sure what their source for the rumour is, but they are currently looking into it. I stress that this is only a rumour at this point, but Campoli has complained recently about his ice time, and as noted many times on Kukla’s Korner the Habs have far too many defencemen on the roster. More to come… UPDATE: Nick Kypreos of Sportsnet is also reporting, via Twitter, that Campoli is on his way to Tampa Bay.

The new year has certainly proven eventful for the Canadiens. And we are barely ten days into 2012. After a brief, but welcome, holiday hiatus, Plus/Minus takes a look at some of these topics, namely the emergence...

The rankings for North American players in the 2012 draft eligibility class came out today, and Montreal Canadiens’ P.K. Subban’s brother, Malcolm Subban, remains top of the list of goalies. Hal Gill on the Market?

With 46 days left until the NHL trade deadline, on February 27th, 2012. Rumors have started to arise in Montreal, in regards to what player could be on the market. Canadiens - Blues: Jaroslav Halak Shuts Out Habs in Bell Centre Return

Well that was disappointing now wasn't it? In what was one of, if not the most hyped game of the year, your Montreal Canadiens were flat. The return of the "great" Jaroslav Halak to the Bell Centre was not enough to stir his Canadiens counter-parts to action. Or, more accurately, the Canadiens were just no match for the high-flying St. Louis Blues. While the...

Are the Canucks Bigger Rivals for the Bruins Than the Canadiens This Season?

Right now, which team do you hate more: the Vancouver Canucks or the Montreal Canadiens? Probably the Canucks, right? With bad blood lingering between last year's two conference champions, the Bruins' long-standing relationship with Montreal has been put on the back burner a bit as the Habs come into town on Thursday night. Despite the fervor and passion that came out during...

Bruins Not Taking Canadiens Lightly, Despites Habs' Offensive Ineptitude, Overall Struggles

The Bruins welcome the Montreal Canadiens to the TD Garden on Thursday night. The sight of the bleu, blanc et rouge across the ice has been a welcomed one for most NHL teams this season, but the B's know they can't expect another poor showing from Montreal on Thursday. The Canadiens have struggled all year, but for whatever reason, they always match up well with the Bruins...

Canadiens/Blues, Halak, Gomez, Arniel and More

Morning puck fans! Lots of buzz around the web about the return of 2010 playoff hero, Jaroslav Halak. As you certainly remember, the Slovak netminder helped steer the Canadiens to the conference finals with his superb play before eventually bowing out to the Flyers. He finished that post-season with a .921 save percentage. But, according to Halak, tonight's contest...

Cammalleri not happy with Canadiens “losing attitude”

The Montreal Canadiens are in the midst one of their worst losing streaks in years. This was all supposed to change a few weeks ago when Jacques Martin was fired and Randy Cunneyworth took over. ...

Habs Hatred Goes international (Toronto Mike)

Hatred for the Montreal Canadiens isn't just a Canadian thing, it's spread all the way to Germany. I saw this poster during my walk in Berlin yesterday. I'll translate that for you. It reads "Habs are Icky". Icky indeed....

Blues-Canadiens Preview

Jaroslav Halak was part of a potent goaltending tandem in Montreal, but he was the one who led the Canadiens on an unlikely playoff run two seasons ago. A few weeks later, he was gone. Now part of a dominant duo in St. Louis, Halak will be in net Tuesday night as his surging Blues make their first trip to Montreal since acquiring him via trade. The Canadiens had a pair of promising...

WILMINGTON -- The Montreal Canadiens have had a difficult season in many ways, coming to Boston tomorrow night in 12th place in the Eastern Conference. But the Bruins expect the Habs, as usual, to give them a very tough challenge. "They've had a lot of things happen to them," said Bruins ...
