Sports Injury Alert:
Ottawa Senators' center Mika Zibanejad, sidelined with unspecified upper-body injury for Saturday's game against the Phoenix Coyotes, is expected to be back in the lineup against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday night. Many in the media were speculating that the concussion-prone Zibanejad suffered yet another at the hands of the Florida Panthers, and coach Paul MacLean being so cryptic with the media fueled the speculation even further - but him returning to the lineup so quickly should squelch those rumors.Zibanejad's protracted concussion issues and the lengths to which conspiracy theorists believe the Senators went to hide them from the public are at the forefront of the speculation, and perhaps the reason why the team stashed him in the AHL at the start of the season......but since being called up in late October, he has responded with eight goals and 15 total points, going from the energy line to the top line in a little over a month.

Marc Methot was supposed to have a nice afternoon Saturday.
First, he thought he’d picked up his first ever power play goal and first multi-goal game in 355 National Hockey League contests. And he must have thought that would be enough to propel his team to its first win in three tries.
Little did he know, the NHL would take that power play goal away after the game (Kyle Turris...

The game was close after two periods but the Senators dominated the Penguins in the third outshooting them 15-9 while getting goals from Erik Karlsson, Kyle Turris and Cory Conacher.
Zack Smith and Bobby Ryan also scored for the Senators and...
There have rumblings about the Ottawa Senators landing an outdoor game in the past, but COO John Collins more or less confirmed those rumors to Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun on Tuesday afternoon.
NHL chief operating officer John Collins, the man who has helped spearhead the success of the stadium games, confirmed Monday the Senators will get an outdoor game in Ottawa.

First Goal Against (Smith)
On a defensive zone faceoff, Jussi Jokinen barely loses the draw to Zack Smith. Chris Kunitz and Colin Greening move in to get the loose puck behind Smith and Greening (with a better angle) gets there first, passing it to Cody Ceci at the point. (As Ceci gets the puck...

Yeah we have the Sens stream for the night. sorry.

Yule never believe it.
There’ll be no Blue Christmas in Ottawa this year.
The Senators played the role of Santa Claus by delivering the victory and the Pittsburgh Penguins must have felt like Santa dropped a bag of toys on their heads as Craig Anderson made 27 stops in a 5-0 pounding Monday night.
The Senators halted their three-game losing skid in fashion as Cory Conacher...
