Tampa Bay Lightning center Steven Stamkos is known around the hockey world as perhaps the NHL’s premier goal scorer. He’s also managed to score a lengthy 2-minute advertisement for Coca-Cola Zero. Stamkos plays a hockey player traded by his father to another team, promising revenge on the ice. TSN’s hockey insider Bob McKenzie also makes an appearance as Bob, the Zamboni driver...

WATCH: Lightning fire puck into own net for embarrassing own goal

You'll see a handful of own goals scored during the course of an NHL season. Few will rival the one scored by the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday night.  Protecting a 5-4 lead with roughly 1:50 left in the third period, Matt Carle threw the puck back into his own zone. The pass to Radko Gudas was too hot to handle and it kicked off of the defenseman's skate and past goaltender...

St. Louis scores in OT; Lightning beat Hawks

Radko Gudas was able to joke after being center stage in what both coaches called a crazy ending. The Tampa Bay defenseman had a puck go off him late in the third and then assisted on Martin St. Louis' goal 1:16 into overtime as the Lightning beat the Chicago Blackhawks 6-5 on Thursday night. Chicago's Jonathan Toews was credited with a game-tying goal with 1:49 left in...

Teenagers make early impact in NHL season

Tampa Bay Lightning general manager Steve Yzerman didn’t project a regular role for elite prospect Jonathan Drouin, so he sent the 18-year-old winger back to junior hockey. That move surprised many NHL observers.“Mostly, we want him playing,” Yzerman told the Tampa Tribune at the time. “And if he's not going to play regular (in the NHL), I want him playing. I don'...

Steven Stamkos and TSN’s Bob McKenzie star in hilarious Coke Zero ad

Tampa Bay Lightning forward Steven Stamkos, Edmonton Oilers forward Jordan Eberle and TSN analyst Bob McKenzie all star in this hysterical new Coke Zero Canada ad.  In the advertisement, Stamkos is traded for Eberle by his own father (who is his coach) and then proceeds to score five goals in the first game against his old team.  Definitely one of the better ads centered around...

Video- Basically A Tampa Bay Own Goal Late In The Game

This goal, credited to Johathan Toews, tied the game just after Stamkos scored for Tampa on the power play. But justice was served, as Martin St. Louis scored in OT to give the Bolts a 6-5 win. Michael Stuart: The Roundtable on Early Season Impressions

The Tampa Bay Lightning has asked me to be a part of the organization’s Blogger Roundtable. This new feature, which has a number of independent writers weigh in on issues surrounding the team, will be a weekly column on the team’s website. Today's question has to do with early season impressions. Many of the Lightning’s players have played well through the...
