Flyers forward Claude Giroux had surgery as his off season began, but he wasn’t about to let it bother him. Having both his wrists in casts didn’t stop Claude Giroux from dominating beer pong

Flyers center Claude Giroux has both his wrists in casts after having surgery on both of them shortly after his team’s season ended, but that hasn’t kept himself from enjoying some beer pong. The team’s leading scorer apparently entertained guests both days over the weekend and played some beer pong with them. A girl who goes by the name Alexandra on Twitter shared the picture...

Claude Giroux Can Still Play Beer Pong With Surgically Repaired Wrists

Flyers stud center Claude Giroux isn’t a household name to most of you because the NHL is still relegated to the NBC Sports Network and most of you guys could care less about hockey. However, in Philly, Giroux is quickly becoming one of the city’s most recognizable athletes. 93 points this year, two surgically repaired wrists and the guy can get right back onto the beer pong...

Bill Meltzer: Meltzer's Musings -- Lilja, Paterson, Mr. Hockey

Ever since the Flyers' season came to an abrupt end in the Eastern Conference Semifinal, there were rumors in Sweden that Flyers' defenseman Andreas Lilja planned to forgo the final year of his NHL contract and return home this summer to sign with Elitserien club Rögle BK Ängelholm. Not surprisingly, the rumors were false. Speaking from the U.S. to his hometown...

Bill Meltzer: Meltzer's Musings -- Hartnell and Long-Term Planning

There is no decision for the Flyers to make this summer about Scott Hartnell. After posting career highs goals and points, his spot on the left wing of Claude Giroux's line come opening night of next season can, barring pre-season injury, virtually be written in ink instead of pencil. The 30-year-old power forward is coming off a career year in which he tallied 37 goals and...

Flyers Potential Free Agent Break Down

Jaromir Jagr leads the list of unrestricted free agents that the Flyers will have to make decisions on. Some people consider anything less than a Stanley Cup victory a failure for the Philadelphia Flyers. While they may have fallen short of the ultimate prize, the Flyers had a good season, and the future is certainly bright for the young and talented team. But when this team comes...

Bill Meltzer: Meltzer's Musings -- Talbot, Injury Updates, Prospect Signings

Whenever people talk about the Flyers' roster moves from last summer, they inevitably focus on the two blockbuster trades and the Ilya Bryzgalov contract. But the addition of Max Talbot via free agency was one of Paul Holmgren's biggest coups. At the time of the signing, a lot of people lambasted the GM for the contract -- which ended up having to be adjusted to be cap...
