Colin Wilson had a four point night and Viktor Stalberg lit the lamp for the first time as a Pred in a stellar team effort to beat the now 12-2-0 Colorado Avalanche. Nashville didn't let the Avalanche lead once and would regain the lead quickly when Colorado tied it up. The six goal game by the Preds marks the first time that Nashville scores 4 or more goals on 3 consecutive nights since the January 2011 on the 2nd (4-1 vs CBJ) 5th (4-1 vs Anaheim) and 6th (5-2 vs LA). Stalberg also got an assist and Nashville got a helper from Forsberg who has been a bit cold of late as well. David Legwand had two assist on the night to add to his impressive point streak. Gabriel Bourque had the empty netter which was also his first.  It was a weird game to watch for the Preds as they at the same time never looked comfortable with the lead but also never looked too worried. It seemed like one of the many instances where the team would play their heart out only to drop a one goal decision and go home pointless. But the team looked really complete as goals came from three of the four lines alongside two powerplay goals. Hutton was average in net again, allowing 4 goals on 31 shots.    With the win, the Preds improve to 8-5-2, 6-2-2 in their last ten, and have earned 5/6 points in the first three games of the Franchise's longest ever road trip.  Four Thoughts/Notes Colin Wilson's four point game: Colin Wilson said "Hey, Dave, you're not the only one who can have a three point game on this team". In fact he even upped the ante nearly doubbling his point total on the season. Going into the game with a goal and four assists, Wilson assisted on the first two goals of the game, to Stalberg and Smith, before putting a couple of his own in the back of the net. With the 4 points tonight, Wilson will leapfrog Jones, Weber, Smith and Fisher to move into third place for points on the team.  Stalberg's best/only good game of the season: Finally playing alongside some talent, Stalberg didn't look like a waste of (cap)space out there tonight. With his first goal and first assist of the year, hopefully he is making a bit of a case for himself. It would be phenomenal to finally see him turn that corner and become the star offensive player we were promised.  Jones takes big hit, leaves game, returns.  Seth Jones took his first questionable hit today courtesy of Jamie McGinn who got a Charging penalty on the play. It looks really bad but I would be very surprised if a suspension came out of it. Jones got up on his own and went to the locker room briefly before returning. It's always a concern with rookie players as to whether or not they will be able to handle these kinds of iffy plays.  Legwand increases point streak to 7 in last three games: Two assists tonight for Legwand (albeit one on an empty netter) give him an impressive point streak. He now has four goals, 10 assists and fourteen points in 15 games. That's right - he's nearly a point per game player. That's almost frightening.  Scoring Summary 1 - 0 NSH Viktor Stalberg (1) from Colin Wilson and Mattias Ekholm at 13:12 in the first 1-1 COL P.A.
