Found January 06, 2012 on Buffalo Wins:
I can already see how this Sabres season will play out come April.  As I write this post, the Sabres are 11th place and are 4 points out of the 8th spot. Tyler Myers is coming back and at some point, the beer tent will have old-time players instead of current Sabres nursing a boatload of injuries. Maybe the Sabres get healthy by the end of January. If they can stay within striking distance of the 8th spot, they can go on one of their heroic (Sully's catchphrase) runs to the 8th spot. I'm sure some media personalities (See: Jeremy White) will talk about just getting in is more than enough. We will start looking at how the Flyers from 2010 went to the Finals as the 8th seed. Same as when the Oilers went to the 2006 Finals. Maybe they will take the Bs or Flyers to the brink of elimination. Then, after the season ends, Ted/Darcy/Lindy will have a press conference in which they will sell us on how they lost X amount of players to injuries, but when they were healthy, they h...

GARTH: No Go Ennis and Leino; Yes For Myers

The Sabres skated at First Niagara Center earlier this afternoon. Before they loaded into the charter for their flight to Raleigh, Lindy Ruff took time out to address the stratus of his three soon-to-be-activated players. According to sabres.com, Tyler Ennis has suffered a "setback" in his recovery from wonky ankle. Therefore, he will not be returning to the Buffalo...

Now or Never: The time has come for Regier to prove his worth

If you ask me, Time Warner Cable and MSG couldn't have picked a better time to block out Sabres fans from watching MSG broadcasts. In fact, if you're missing out on the games, I can assure you that a switch is not necessary, as you haven't been missing much. It goes without saying, I think, that the play of the Sabres has possibly reached a season-long low over the...

Having ended a three-game losing streak in their last outing, the Sabres will try to snap a five-game road skid when they face the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday night. Buffalo (18...
