Did you know it’s a 10-minute penalty in the NHL for an enforcer to salute his fans after brawling? It happened yesterday during Tom Sestito vs Brian McGrattan. Calgary tough guy McGrattan just finished off Sestito and then went into salute mode.
Boom, 10-minute penalty.
That’s news to us. Someone please explain this one to us.
As for the game, Calgary won 4-2.

Burn After Watching
With the horrible weather in Calgary holding the Canucks in Vancouver Sunday morning, you began to wonder what to expect when the puck dropped at the Saddledome.
The travel wasn’t long, but hockey players have routines and disruptions to that routine during a home and away back-to-back can cause the type of flux that leads to what we saw last night.

After an interesting couple of days, the Calgary Flames will try to regroup as they take on the Vancouver Canucks at the Saddledome. Vancouver, who sits 8 points ahead of Calgary, is 8th overall and 1st in the Northwest, so tonightâs game will be no easy feat for the Flames.
Weâve faced off against the Canucks twice this season and...

from Elliotte Friedman of CBC,
4. The Flames failed to land O'Reilly, but that doesn't mean they're finished trying to make moves. They aren't happy with what they've got, particularly the lack of size. That's why they traded for Brian McGrattan, but it would be a surprise if that was all. The interesting one is Jay Bouwmeester.
5. The defenceman...
