With Instagram being one of the most popular forms of social media, many NHL teams use the photo-sharing app to connect with their fans. One of the must-follow Instagram accounts is that of the Boston Bruins (@NHLBruins). Fans are definitely missing the Black & Gold on the ice… so here are some of the best Bruins Instagram photos of the off-season so far.   10. The Bruins used their unofficial, somewhat terrifying, bear mascot to campaign for Patrice Bergeron to be on the cover of NHL15. The bear was spotted in several historical spots around town- here he is with #4, Bobby Orr. 9. Who doesn’t love dogs? In a brilliant idea to raise money for a great cause, the Boston Bruins Foundation teamed up with the MSPCA to raise money for animals in need. The calendar is filled with pictures of Bruins and their dogs or dogs available for adoption. Bruins defenseman Dennis Seidenberg was extremely generous with his donation also having some adorable pups, with some interesting names. 8. In another campaign effort for #NHLBergeron15, the Bruins Instagram account took the popular trend “throwback thursday” (#tbt) and showed an adorable Patrice Bergeron. 7. The Bruins Instagram never misses a chance to wish a happy birthday to a member of their team. President and former Bruins great Cam Neely, is no exception. 6. With the 25th overall pick in the 2014 NHL draft, the Bruins selected David Pastrnak from the Czech Republic. He currently plays for the Södertälje SK in the Swedish Allsvenskan. He looks great in black and gold!  5. Of course, after selecting a Czech player in the draft, a text to fellow-Czech player and Bruins center David Krejci was in order. 4. Bruins also selected Ryan Donato in the draft. They selected his father, Ted in 1987. Ted Donato, currently the men’s head coach at Harvard University, played 8 seasons for the B’s. 3. This is a side of Tuukka Rask fans don’t usually get to see. 2. Bergy, Tuukka and Z looking sharp for the NHL Awards. The Bruins didn’t come away empty handed as Bergeron and Rask won the Selke and Vezina trophies, respectively. 1. Development camp – proof that hockey season is right around the corner. October can’t come soon enough.     Writer: Paula Marino is a graduate of Suffolk University. She loves all things Black and Gold. Paula can be reached on Twitter @powlamarino.
