The Badgers and UND exchange pleasantries at the end of the game. I don't think these two teams were asking each other where they were going to meet after the game. Badger forward Michael Mersch needs to be suspended and I expect that he will when the WCHA reviews this film. There is no way to defend Mersch's actions, that's not acceptable in any league. Friday marked the 162nd meeting between the Wisconsin men’s hockey team and North Dakota.
Considering that the contest marked the second-to-last time that the two heated rivals would meet as conference foes, the ending seemed oddly appropriate.
