Thoughts On Both Teams

The Vancouver Canucks enter into this game hot! The Canucks are 8-0-2 in their last ten games. The Sedin twins are back together on a line. The Daniel, Henrik, and Alex Burrows line are leading the team on this hot streak. In the last two games against the Maple Leafs and Oilers, this line totaled 16 points. Both goalies for the Canucks, Roberto Luongo and Corey Schneider, have been really good, as of late. I have to give credit to both of them, especially Luongo, because they were questioned on their talents. Vancouver injuries include, Keith Ballard, Aaron Volpatti, Steven Pinizzotto and Andrew Ebbett.

The Nashville Predators have to cool down this hot Vancouver Canucks team. This game is huge for Hal Gill to try to shut down the second line, while Shea Weber and Ryan Suter try to cool down that hot first line. The Predators need to be disciplined like Sunday night against the Dallas Stars where they only took one penalty. As we all know, if Nashville isn’t disciplined, the Canucks power play will take off like a rocket. Some line-up news, Mike Fisher is day-to-day with the flu, but it is very likely that he is back in the line-up for this game. Patric Hornqvist and Brian McGrattan should be out for the game.

Canadian opponents prove good medicine for the Canucks’ Sedins

Give Quebec City A Team too! Just as Wayne Gretzky used to feast on the Canucks when he needed a point, the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Edmonton Oilers have been a revitalizing tonic for the slumping Sedins (see Grampa Simpson’s concoction. What Mike Gillis is probably thinking about, one week ahead of trade deadline day

We are now one week away from trade deadline day in the NHL. It’s a day that can be overrated in a lot of respects, but it still has a lot of importance. The Canucks acquired two very important pieces of their team at last year’s trade deadline in Chris Higgins and Max Lapierre. Of course, there are always teams that acquire aging/overrated players at inflated prices, so buyer...
