Wrap your minds around this. Over a billion people flock to their TV sets in a late July/early August setting.  The lights slowly dim in a packed arena. Out pops the fake Lynyrd Skynyrd, fresh off their 22nd comeback tour. They welcome the 80,000 or so people in attendance, and the billions around the world to sit back and watch the next 3 or so hours of entertainment as we begin the games of the 33rd Olympics. A slew of people dressed as Waffle House menu items run out and proceed to dance in circles. The guy dressed as Bert’s Famous Chili steals the show, and the crowd erupts into applause up. It’s Jacksonville artistry at it’s finest. At that point a giant gunfight breaks out in the stands. The USOC sent out letters to 35 potential Olympic Cities this week. The official list included…Phoenix; San Jose; Los Angeles; Sacramento; San Diego; San Francisco; Denver; Washington; Orlando; Miami; Atlanta; Chicago; Indianapolis; Baltimore; Detroit; Minneapolis; St. Louis; Las Vegas; New York; Boston; Rochester; Charlotte; Columbus  Tulsa (another WTF); Portland; Philadelphia; Pittsburgh; Memphis; Nashville.; Austin; Dallas; Houston; San Antonio; and Seattle.
