Stockyards Stays: Choose History or Luxury at Stockyards Hotel and Hotel Drover

Over 100 years ago, in 1907, the original Stockyards hotel was built. Known for its rich history, incredible Western architecture, and tasteful Old West atmosphere, the hotel is the perfect place to lay your head after a day full of shopping, eating, rodeo action and enjoying the Stockyards. 

To keep the history true, the original front entrance is still there and utilized regardless of some other updates and remodels that have taken place. The Stockyards Hotel was an important piece of Fort Worth in the time of cattle trading and the railroad. Fort Worth became a point of interest with lots of traffic; people from all over the world stayed at the Stockyards Hotel. The ground floor of the hotel used to house the Stockyards Club, a pool room, a public bath, and a barber shop, making it a one-stop shop for those passing through.

The grand lobby and every room are unique, with decor reflecting the history of Cowtown. Uniquely, the Stockyards Hotel also offers the Bonnie and Clyde Suite, which is the actual room in which Bonnie and Clyde stayed back in 1933.

In 2021, the Fort Worth Stockyards expanded and added a project called Mule Alley. Mule Alley is now home to new shops and restaurants and Hotel Drover. The hotel was created alongside Marine Creek to embody the true Western spirit of the original values of Texas drovers and cattlemen.
