Are Liverpool FC Coming Back To Winning Ways?Liverpool FC have been off the top four for what it seems like an eternity for many Liverpool fans and it finally seems to be ending under the terrific management of Brendan Rodgers and company. Over the past few years, Liverpool FC have had several different managers since the sacking of former Red’s boss Rafa Benitiez in 2010.  Since his departure, Roy Hodgson and Kenny Dalglish have attempted to rebuild the fading Liverpool FC side back to his former glory in attempting to win all of football’s biggest prizes.  Under their management, Liverpool FC had attempted to buy world class talent to aid their attempts to getting back into the top four and contend for the title once again. Under Roy Hodgson, Liverpool FC purchased the likes of Joe Cole, Jonjo Shelvey, Raul Meireles, Paul Konchesky, and Milan Jovanovic in the summer transfer window.  These transfer requests aren’t exactly seen as top players and this lead to a bunch of poor performances during his time as manager.  These transfers didn’t exactly propel Liverpool FC to the top four thus leading to Roy Hodgdson’s sacking prior to the winter transfer window where he would be replaced by a former Liverpool legend and manager in Kenny Dalglish where he would make two huge signings in Suarez is one of the main reasons as to why Liverpool FC are playing so well and are genuine title contenders. Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll.  Although the Andy Carroll transfer didn’t exactly pull through even with his huge price tag, Suarez would be deemed as one of the most successful transfer coups in Liverpool’s history as he in the best form of his life by becoming the Premier League’s top goal scorer and leading the table in assists as well.  Though, Kenny Dalglish wouldn’t experience a whole lot of success in his second spell at his former club and was sacked after a poor campaign where he only managed to lead Liverpool FC to an 8th place finish in the 2011-2012 campaign. After a poor campaign, the Liverpool FC board decided that they needed to change managers in order to get back to the top with the rest of England’s finest clubs.  The board had put their trust into a rather unknown but successful manager in Brendan Rodger.  He proved his worth at his former club in Swansea City by leading them to the Championship playoffs and successfully having them get promoted into the Premier League.  Rodgers’ style of play had played a major role in his landing of the Liverpool job as he likes to have his team dominate possession and attack without fear.  He’s now bringing the same tactics from Swansea City and is trying implement the same kind of game with the current crop of players at Liverpool. Together Sturridge and Suarez have been considered the best strike duo in the Premier League at the moment. Now with the players fully aware and understanding of Rodgers’ playing style and system, Liverpool FC has found more success than in previous times.  They are playing in a free-flowing attack which is allowing Suarez and Sturridge to interchange with one another to get each other in dangerous attacking positions. They also have a great supporting cast with Coutinho and Gerrard pulling the strings from the midfield as well.  This has worked to their advantage as Suarez and Sturridge have formed a deadly partnership with the both of them amassing 32 goals and recording 8 assists alone in the Premier League.  They easily have the deadliest front line in the Premier League and it continues to prove that Liverpool FC mean business in this year’s campaign. With Brendan Rodgers’ vision becoming visibly clear, Liverpool FC have propelled themselves into the top four and are likely going to be challenging for title as well.  They currently sit in second closely trailing current league leaders Chelsea.  Along with Manchester City and Arsenal, predicting an English champion is growing increasingly unclear as teams drop unexpected points.  Liverpool FC will hope that their luck changes as they continue to demand more from their players into reaching first place in the Premier League. isportsweb | isportsweb - Sports in Perspective
