If that’s the case, shouldn’t the player’s wives and girlfriends be the ones receiving the trophy? Spain crushed Italy 4-0 in Sunday’s Euro 2012 final, giving them titles in the last three major tournaments.  Sure, the majority of their success has to do with Spain’s incredibly talented team that includes such stars as Andres Iniesta, Xavi Hernandez, Cesc Fabregas, Fernando Torres, Sergio Ramos and Iker Casillas just to name a few, but according to BBC commentator Alan Shearer, it also has to do with the team’s ability to fornicate on an almost superhuman level before and during the tournament. Or it was a slip of the tongue as Shearer was trying to spit out the word success.  Either way, I’m sure that after winning Euro 2012 these lucky Spaniards will be getting their fair share of loving from the fairer sex, be it from wives, girlfriends or ardent admirers.  To the victor go the spoils and all that.
