PLAYERS:
Jose Mourinho
Cape Verde coach Lucio Antunes counts Jose Mourinho as one of his friends, only they don't talk football and there haven't been any tips handed out by the Real Madrid boss.
That means Antunes' achievement of taking the tiny island country to its first African Cup of Nations - and first major tournament at all - is all his own work.
Antunes and his group of close-knit players defied Africa's footballing hierarchy to beat four-time African champion Cameroon in qualifying on the way to South Africa.
They will open the tournament against the host on Saturday, but there's no advice to take from Mourinho for the country's biggest sporting moment.
Antunes says Thursday of Mourinho ''he's never given me any tips concerning soccer. We just talk about our families.''
