For those of you who don’t know who these two players are a little introduction is in order. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a world class soccer player from Sweden with a massive ego who speaks in the third person when referring to himself but it’s overlooked because he scores amazing goals. Joey Barton on the other hand is a world class troll from England with substantial talent, but whose act grew weary in his native land so he now plies his trade in France.
Barton embraces controversy, a master agitator comparable to a Kevin Garnett or Sean Avery, so he has no qualms about using questionable tactics in order to get an opposing player off his game. So on Wednesday in a game between Barton’s Marseille and Ibrahimovic’s PSG, Barton made a gesture towards Ibrahimovic implying that he had a huge schnoz but Zlatan just laughed it off and scored two goals. Nice try Joey.
