Liverpool 0-0 Tottenham Hotspur – Recap & Match Stats – EPL – 6 February 2012 - The 90th Minute Soccer Blog

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur played to a 0-0 draw in the English Premier League on Monday, February 6, 2012.

Liverpool 0-0 Tottenham Hotspur Recap

Liverpool had to settle for another disappointing draw at Anfield.

Tottenham were not a full strength and put on a strong defensive performance. Liverpool had most of the chances but lacked quality in the final third. Two of the best chances for Liverpool were in the second half for Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez. Carroll sent a shot flying over the cross bar after chesting down a cross while Suarez had a header from close range.

Overall, it was a much more defensive style from Tottenham who were without Thomas Lennon and Rafael Van der Vaart. Liverpool’s Luis Suarez played his first match since his eight match ban. Suarez second a second half sub and did have a few chances.

The draw is Liverpool’s eighth at home and Tottenham’s third in away matches. Both teams return to the EPL on the weekend as Liverpool faces Manchester United and Tottenham host Newcastle United.
