Charlie Adam and Andy Carroll scored first-half goals to give Liverpool a 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League on Saturday. Adam put the visitors ahead from the penalty spot in the ninth minute after Luis Suarez was fouled by Jerome Thomas. Uruguay striker Suarez sent strike partner Carroll through one-on-one with the goalkeeper in stoppage time at the end of the first half and the England international confidently beat Ben Foster in the West Brom goal for his second league goal of the season. West Brom manager Roy Hodgson was up against his former team but saw his current side well beaten to leave the Baggies 13th on 11 points. Liverpool has 18 points from 10 games and ended the day in fifth.
