Liverpool are making checks on Bologna playmaker Gaston Ramirez with a view to a January signing, according to The Metro.
The 20 year old has been watched by Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid, but Liverpool believe they are in pole position to sign the £15m rated Uruguayan. Ramirez is rated as one of the best young players in Serie A and has broken into the Uruguay national side.
