Javier Saviola
Malaga have announced that they have completed the signing of Javier Saviola from Benfica on a free transfer.
The 30-year-old forward joined Benfica from Real Madrid in 2009 in a €5million deal and formed a prolific partnership with Oscar Cardozo in his first two years at the club.
However, his future at Benfica had been a fervent source of conjecture in recent months after being consigned to the role of bench-warmer last season.
Saviola reached on Thursday an agreement to terminate his contract with the Portuguese club before signing a one-year deal with Malaga.
