League Cup winners Swansea paraded the trophy before fans on Saturday before going on to beat Newcastle 1-0 in the Premier League with Luke Moore striking the late winner.
Moore got his first league goal of the season five minutes from time as he prodded home from close range, with the help of a deflection off Yohan Cabaye, after Davide Santon had struggled to clear Wayne Routledge's cross.
Newcastle dominated the second half at the Liberty Stadium with Papiss Cisse, Moussa Sissoko and Yoan Gouffran wasting chances.
The Magpies have won just once away in the league, while Swansea reached the 40-point mark to cap a memorable week.
Swansea won its first major trophy by overwhelming Bradford 5-0 on Sunday in the League Cup final.
