Having scored the opener, Terry then collided with Luis Suarez and was forced to leave the pitch, looking very much like a man who’d kicked his last ball for quite some time. But news coming from Chelsea suggests their captain will be out for weeks rather than months, which led me to wonder if, in the long term, they would be better off without him.
