"The Simpsons" is teaming with the beautiful game again for a World Cup-themed episode next March, part of a branding campaign in which they're partnering with FC Barcelona and other teams around the world for a new line of Simpsons merchandise. The plot of the episode, titled, "You Don't Have to Live Like a Referee", will deal with Homer becoming a soccer ref, taking the family to Brazil and getting involved with match fixers. FOX will broadcast the World Cup in 2018 and 2022. "The Simpsons" is celebrating its 25th season. It's not the first time "The Simpsons" has played soccer. Ronaldo, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi guest-starred on a 2007 episode.
