Ten Players That Could Leave Liverpool This Summer

The Ireland international has proved to be a fantastic number two to Alisson Becker but it seems likely the 24-year-old will now seek a move for more regular football with the Brazilian in consistently great form and in no danger of losing his place.

Adrian

The 36-year-old joined when Simon Mignolet left the club in 2019 and was thrust straight into European Super Cup action where he became an instant hero helping Liverpool beat Chelsea on penalties.

Despite some mixed form during his time at the club, he is well respected by the coaching and playing staff but is likely to leave when his contract finishes at the end of the season.

Joel Matip

Perhaps a surprise choice to leave but with just one year left on his current deal at Anfield and his form diminishing, the hierarchy may choose to cash in on a player who has been a brilliant signing on a free transfer.

The 31-year-old may find he is the one that is sacrificed with Joe Gomez's age, versatility and homegrown status in his favour.

Nathaniel Phillips

If anyone deserves a move, it's 26-year-old Phillips who has proved to be a loyal servant to Klopp at Liverpool and stepped in to help steer the club to an unlikely third-place finish in the injury-hit 2020/21 season.

Rhys Williams

Another who helped the club secure a Champions League spot in 2020/21 alongside Phillips after Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, and Matip suffered long-term injuries.

Reports suggest Liverpool are prepared to listen to offers for the player who has played his most recent football on loan at Swansea and Blackpool.

Kostas Tsimikas

This choice is a bit more of a long shot as the Greek international has proved to be more than an able deputy for left-back Andy Robinson.

He may decide however he is in need of more regular football despite his perceived happiness at Anfield where he has become a fan favourite.

Curtis Jones (Loan)

After a pre-season injury, Jones has barely featured for the Reds this season and failed to make the bench on many occasions.

Despite his obvious talent, a move on loan to another Premier League club could be the best option to get the 22-year-old playing regularly.

Naby Keita

The Guinea international will be out of contract at the end of the season and there are no signs a new deal is in sight.

The 28-year-old has not fulfilled the promise he showed at RB Leipzig before signing for Liverpool and a move may be best for all parties.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Another player expected to leave when his contract expires at the end of the season after a promising start to his Anfield career was brought to an end by a serious knee injury.

Has performed well since when called upon but all too often hasn't been able to put a consistent run together and therefore is in need of a fresh challenge.

Roberto Firmino

This is the one that will probably hit Reds fans the hardest after the player affectionately known as 'Bobby' decided it was time to bring down the curtain on his Anfield career when his contract ends in the summer.

Others With Exit Possibilities

Veteran James Milner is another who is out of contract this summer but reports have suggested that Klopp is keen to extend that by one more year.

Fabio Carvalho could be another, like Jones, who is loaned after failing to secure as much game time as he would have liked.

One thing that is certain however is that it appears that it is going to be a very busy summer at Anfield.
