NCAA College World Series features misspelled dugout signs (Photo)

Someone in charge of making the signs above the dugouts for the NCAA College World Series in Omaha forgot to run a spellcheck before printing them out. That could have easily avoided the embarrassment of publicly displaying a sign featuring "college" spelled with three L's. Wonder if it's the same person who misspelled 'baseball' for the Big 12 tournament...

'College' World Series misspelled in Omaha

Looks like the NCAA needs a quick spelling lesson.  The banners on the top of one of the dugouts at the College Baseball World Series says “Colllege” instead of “College.”  Not sure how so many people missed this when they were creating it and installing it. [@howielindsay]

It is official; Sonny Golloway is no longer the head baseball coach at the University of Oklahoma.   Golloway is heading to Auburn and the SEC.  This is not a surprising development given OU’s athletic Director Joe Castiglione and Golloway were having communication problems and Castiglione recently decided not to re-negotiate Golloway’s existing contract. This apparent fracture...

Gophers baseball team videobombs coach

Minnesota Gophers head coach John Anderson was doing an in-game interview in the bottom of the 4th inning of a recent game against Nebraska when a couple of Anderson’s players thought they’d get a little airtime themselves by videobombing their coach. But this wasn’t your ordinary, run-of-the-mill videobomb for simpletons. No, these guys took things up a notch, as two of the...

Arkansas and LSU features dream match-up

When someone hears Arkansas vs. LSU the first thought is probably the traditional game between the two SEC rival football teams in the annual game the Friday after Thanksgiving.  What likely doesn’t come to mind is a conference tournament game that in the overall scheme of things doesn’t have a ton of meaning to it, but will feature two of the top pitchers not only in the conference...

LSU player upended on inside-the-park HR

One of the more exciting plays for fans to watch in the middle of baseball game than someone who is streaking around the bases for an inside-the-park home run. It isn’t that it is extremely rare, but it certainly isn’t a common occurence. After all, it isn’t as if anyone is even hitting as many triple as doubles or even home runs. Raph Rhymes of LSU had just a little bit of...
