NBC made a major goof during Monday night's tape-delayed Olympics coverage by spoiling the result of the women's 100 meter backstroke race, won by 17-year-old USA swimmer Missy Franklin, right before the race was aired.

Before the race, NBC went into a commercial break with the teaser "Coming up: How good can Missy Franklin be tonight? Finals of the 100-back coming up."

Just then, NBC aired a commercial for Tuesday morning's Today Show with the following story: "When you're 17 years old and win your first gold medal, there's no one you'd rather share it with. We're there when Missy Franklin and her parents reunite."

You wouldn't believe it if there wasn't video, so here it is:

Really, NBC? Come on, man, you expect us to be satisfied with tape-delayed coverage of the Olympics when you pull stuff like this?
