Islanders' Kyle Palmieri has torn ACL, out 6-8 months

New York Islanders veteran forward Kyle Palmieri has a torn ACL and will be out six-to-eight months, the team announced Saturday. Palmieri was injured while vying for a loose puck with Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Jamie Drysdale during the second period of New York's 4-3 shootout loss on Friday.
