Andy Murray took part in his first tournament since his historic Wimbledon victory last week when he took part in the Rogers cup in Montreal. He bowed out in the third round however. His loss to Ernests Gulbis who is ranked 38 in the world broke his winning streak that dates back to may. However, Murray did follow up his shock defeat with a doubles run all the way up to the final. However he and his fellow Scot, Colin Fleming were defeated in straight sets to the world number 3 seeded pair. He has told everyone not to panic, that it takes time to get back in form for a grand slam. Most importantly Andy has told his fans with his current programme, he will being to peak form during the US Open. Andy Murray is currently starting in the Cincinnati tournament, which is an official part of the US Open series and is traditionally used as its warm up event. (Much like Queens in London is used as a warm up event for Wimbledon). With only two weeks left now until the US Open begins all the top players will be looking to shine in Cincinnati, especially now Nadal has exploded back into the lime light with his victory in the Rogers cup.
