No.5 Seed Vinci Stopped by Barthel in Paris, Bartoli to Play Fed Cup

Marion Bartoli (January 30, 2013) Mona Barthel stopped fifth seed Roberta Vinci at the Open GDF Suez on Wednesday,  4-6, 6-1, 6-3 in the second round. Barthel will play third-seeded Marion Bartoli in the quarterfinals after the Frenchwoman battled back from four set-points down to defeat Christina McHale 7-5, 6-1. Bartoli has been named to the French Fed Cup team after a nine year hiatus. Bartoli fell out with former captain Nicolas Escude but current Fed Cup captain Amelie Mauresmo.
