Jamaican Olympic sprinter and world-record holder Usain Bolt dumped his girlfriend of six months, Slovakian fashion designer Lubica Slovak, so that he can focus on the 2012 London Olympics.

Bolt won gold and set world records in both the 100 and 200 meters in 2008 in Beijing (the latter despite a 0.9 meter-per-second headwind), and hopes to do the same this summer in London. Apparently, he felt that his budding romance with Slovak might prevent him from doing so.
Someone close to Bolt told British tabloid The Sun, “He will have plenty of time for relationships. At the moment he’s concentrating on his running career and doesn’t want anything to distract from that.”
Last month, after a picture of the couple kissing appeared in the Jamaican Observer, critics in Bolt’s home country voiced their disappointment that the decorated Olympian was dating a white woman instead of a black Jamaican woman. The Observer...

I’ve heard of guys dumping their girlfriends for many reasons. Heck, I’ve come up with a few good reasons myself! Usain Bolt is a world class athlete looking to defend a ton of gold medels. There was no way he could train and give attention to his lightning hot lady at the same time- right? Right. Which is why Usain Bolt dumped her to concentrate on the olympics.
