Cody Rhodes gives stamp of approval to fast-rising WWE star

Jacob Fatu has been a whirlwind of success since entering the WWE on June 21, 2024. He was immediately thrown into "The Bloodline" story as part of Solo Sikoa's stable, which eventually went on to face off against "The OG Bloodline."

Fatu has quickly become a fan favorite. His unique blend of size, strength and athleticism has wowed fans in the ring. While his highly energized performances during promos have made him a fun watch, his "all gas no brakes" catchphrase has quickly caught on.

When someone within the WWE builds momentum as quickly as Fatu has, the company begins to push them toward superstardom. If there's one thing WWE knows how to do, it's create a star who, in turn, creates can't-miss TV.

During a recent episode of his "What Do You Wanna Talk About?" podcast, Cody Rhodes gave his stamp of approval on Fatu and his rapid ascension within the WWE.

“I met him at All Pro Wrestling in San Francisco," Rhodes said (h/t Fightful for the transcription). "I knew right away who he was, and we started Uce’n each other. I had been around Jimmy and Jey throughout my whole first run with WWE. Jacob is really special. He feels like a little baby here, and I want to make sure everything is right. He’s special. I know everyone here is incredibly impressed with Jacob, too. When something good happens for him, all of us are like, ‘Awesome.”’

Fatu will likely be managed so that his ascent toward the top of WWE is slow, steady and doesn't overexpose him to the audience. This isn't the first time the creative team has navigated a sustained push, which should ensure Fatu's career continues to grow.

Considering his status as a genuine fan favorite and a talented in-ring performer, WWE likely views Fatu as a future top talent. Having Rhodes in his corner could go a long way, as he can help detail what the grind is like when you're one of the faces in the company.

Fatu has been the living embodiment of "all gas and no brakes" since his arrival in WWE. Sooner or later, things may need to start slow rolling. But, eventually, he's going to be a top draw for the company, with multiple championships and WrestleMania main events in his future.
