With “Iron” Mike Tyson serving as a special enforcer at WrestleMania XIV, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin defeated Shawn Michaels by pinfall to capture the championship 15 years ago this Friday on March 29, 1998. Apparently battling D-Generation X, Michaels and the 5-foot-10, 218 pound Tyson, a 33-year-old Austin faced stiff odds at the FleetCenter in Boston, Massachusetts. In a seesaw affair, a 32-year-old Michaels gained the momentum and readied to finish the 6-foot-1, 252 pound Austin with Sweet Chin Music.
