Zeb Colter posts more ‘propaganda’ videos: Despite Jack Swagger’s recent arrest for speeding, DUI and marijuana possession, new “propaganda videos” have been uploaded on Youtube… Keelan’s Call: The controversy surrounding this storyline makes for some entertaining viewing. It’s hilarious that in 2013 good old fashioned wrestling can rile up the mainstream. Presumably WWE gave Swagger a manager to be the mouthpiece, but even then Swagger’s limited mic time is lacking something. He’s no believable in the role. There’s no passion in his voice. Perhaps they’re going for the young brainwashed kid angle, but even then in my opinion he’s not really connecting. Weed jokes aside, he seems too laid back and methodical. Scream at us Jack! What really pisses you off! ____________________________________________________________ The Rock booked for after Wrestlemania: The Rock is being advertised locally for the WWE Extreme Rules PPV on May 19, from St. Louis, MO. He’s already expected to be working Summerslam, so it looks like he’s in this for the long haul. The Rock is also booked for the post-Wrestlemania Raw. ____________________________________________________________ King Mo headed to TNA after loss?: It’s possible that MMA star King Mo may be headed to TNA sooner than first thought following his loss last night against Emanuel Newton for Bellator. Mo was knocked out via a spinning back fist in a light heavyweight tournament semi-final. TNA’s Taryn Terrell worked as a ring girl. ____________________________________________________________ Feb 21, 2013, NXT Results: - The Family leader Bray Wyatt returned to the ring on this week’s NXT and made light work of Yoshi Tatsu. After the match he riled up his disciples Erick Rowan and Luke Harper for losing the Tag Title tournament last week, forcing them to exchange blows. The manipulative preacher wanted them to feel the pain and frustration of the loss, so they would never do it again. By the end of the segment the demented trio were smiling; lesson learned. - Also tonight it was revealed Sasha Banks’ secret admirer was none other than Audrey Marie playing a sick a joke. As Banks received the final letter Marie attacked her from behind, saying that nobody can replace her and that NXT is her house! Later on in the night she cemented her point by defeating Banks in the ring. - Xavier Woods def. El Local (Ricardo Rodriquez under a mask). - After taking out Paige, an unremorseful Summer Rae demands to be called “the first lady of NXT”. - Tyson Kidd came out to address his injury but was soon pounced upon by “The Big Game Hunter” Leo Kruger. Smelling Tyson’s weakness, Kruger said he was going to end Kidd’s career. Before permanent damage could be done Justin Gabriel made the save. - Big E Langston versus Conor O’Brian ended in a no contest after the referee got knocked down. Following the match Corey Graves cheap-shotted Langston and ran off with the NXT title belt. Keelan’s Call: I had yet to see El Local (Ricardo Rodriquez) wrestle, but to my surprise the portly little guy is an accomplished flyer and did not miss a beat in his match with the former Consequences Creed. As much as The Family stable brings something new to WWE it was starting to get a bit weak and repetitive. There’s only so long you can take vague rambling before it becomes pretentious. Thankfully things have been revitalized now that Wyatt is back in the ring. Like his brother Bo Dallas, the former Husky Harris has a certain crispness in the ring that is a real treat to watch. Unlike some other generational stars the Rotundas clearly have it in their blood.
