Houston Nutt would like to see a little more fire and barbed wire, Cactus Jack and Terry Gordy

It’s not enough to just play the #1 team in the country….Houston Nutt would like you to light the field on fire, cover the entire stadium in thumb tacks, and have live and extremely hungry tigers roaming the sidelines…you know, just to make it interesting.  Or maybe he’ll just forego all of that (live tigers are expensive and well, Pete Boone is in charge, so, yeah) and suspend 4 players including his starting running back and starting center.

Four players, including team captain Brandon Bolden, have been suspended for Saturday’s game against No. 2-ranked Alabama (6-0, 3-0 SEC) for a violation of team rules, coach Houston Nutt said Thursday.

Ole Miss (2-3, 0-2), a 26-point underdog, will also be without center A.J. Hawkins, left guard Alex Washington and wide receiver Philander Moore. All four have started at least one game this season.

Nutt said he learned about the violations Wednesday afternoon.

“It’s just disappointing,” said Nutt, who would not say what rule the players broke but did say he was surprised.

Bolden and Washington are seniors, Hawkins is a junior and Moore is a sophomore.

The good news is, it’s totally not what you think….

So I guess that rules out the black market stolen baby trade.
