Rey Mysterio’s full time return: It appears Rey Mysterio will be making his full time return to WWE after the Elimination Chamber PPV. Although he was originally announced for the match he’s since been pulled due to an undisclosed personal issue, which has been keeping him and off the road for several months. Mysterio is booked against CM Punk on Raw house show loop after the PPV. He had been advertised for the Qatar and Turkey tour next week, but has been replaced by Mark Henry. In storyline terms the attack by Henry last week is the reason why he’s off TV. Speaking of Rey Mysterio, the surgeon who has performed several of his surgeries, David Chao, is facing dismissal from the medical profession in California due to allegations of “gross negligence in his care of patients” according to USAToday. Mysterio himself is not part of the case. ____________________________________________________________ Raw rating drops: This week’s episode of WWE Raw on the USA Network drew a 3.16 cable rating, with an average audience of 4.26 million viewers, which is down from the previous week’s 3.56 number. It ranked #1 on cable TV for the third consecutive week. Here is the hour by hour break down… Hour 1: 4.35 million viewers. Hour 2: 4.25 million viewers. Hour 3: 4.18 million viewers. Also this week Raw earned a 268,154 ranking in social media activity, which is down nine percent from last week. Viewers in the US may have experienced DVR problems on Monday as the US Network have reprogrammed Raw as three separate shows. Going forward you will have to ensure your device records all 3 hours. ____________________________________________________________ Iron Sheik rants about Olympic wrestling controversy: Wrestling legend the Iron Sheik who competed in the Iranian Olympic Greco Roman team for the 1968 Summer Olympics, and later coached US teams, spoke with TMZ about the IOC dropping amateur wrestling from the Olympics… “After 1000 years they take away the best sport in the world? This is the first time the dumb motherf**kers have no balls for they make the walking an Olympic sport.” “If I see anybody on the street that work from the IOC I swear to the Jesus I suplex them put them in camel clutch break their back make them humble.” ____________________________________________________________ 6-Man-Tag won’t be in the Chamber: Despite Ryback Tweeting before Raw about the big 6-Man-Tag match being inside the Chamber, as we saw on the show no announcement was made, so it will just be a regular tag bout.
