The Rock appearing on Raw & SmackDown: The Rock will be returning to WWE television on the January 7th Raw and the SmackDown episode of the same week, in order to begin the build for his match against CM Punk at the Royal Rumble PPV. That particular episode of Raw emanate from The Rock’s hometown of Miami, Florida. Local advertising for the SmackDown show from Tampa reads: “Fans have waited over a decade to see The Rock and they won’t want to miss the chance when he returns to Tampa! Fans will also see the Massive Tag Team Main Event with John Cena & Sheamus vs. World Heavyweight Champion Big Show & Dolph Ziggler. The drama will continue to unfold with the Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match for the WWE Championship when CM Punk takes on Ryback.” ___________________________________________________________ Martha Hart refuses Owen Hart Hall of Fame offer: Martha Hart (the widow of Owen Hart) has once again rejected an offer from WWE that would see Owen inducted in to the Hall of Fame. WWE reached out to Martha about settling her lawsuit against the company, with the option of Owen being honored next year, but like every other year she remains stubborn and committed to the suit. While WWE could technically induct Owen without her permission, they don’t want to jeopardize their chance of the lawsuit ultimately being thrown out. It would not look good on WWE’s part if they went against her wishes. Martha still blames the company for Owen’s tragic death and is bitter because she believed he was about to retire from wrestling and spend the rest of his life with her. She was awarded $18 million in a private settlement over his wrongful death, but filed another lawsuit in 2010. Although the first portion was thrown out, which boldly tried to argue that WWE had no right to Owen’s character following his death, the second portion of the suit is ongoing, which alleges WWE used family/personal photos without her permission and have failed to pay due royalties. ___________________________________________________________ Angle settles fitness application dispute: TNA star Kurt Angle has settled his legal dispute with @WabaSocial, who he claimed ripped him off on a fitness application. “A fair Settlement Has Been Completed With @WabaSocial,” Angle wrote on Twitter. “The Settlement Ends Any Dispute With Wafi Wahidi and Kurt Angle.”
