Cena vs The Rock Part Deux….From many around the wrestling world, it sounds as if not a lot care about this match. The only way I care about this match is if by the end of it, Cena has turned heel and wins the title. I haven’t cared about Cena for a long time because his character of “like me or hate me, it’s all good. You can cheer me or jeer me, it’s your call.” We need a heel in Cena and a major heel at that. If he gets the title against the Rock and stays face, I know for a fact the writers in the WWE have no clue what the fans want. They also need to have Cena (working in conjunction with Paul Heyman) be revealed as the person behind the Shield coming into the WWE. That would help the Shield stay on top of the feuds within the federation. Don’t let it turn into another Nexus-they had all of the WWE universe against them-and then all of a sudden poof, they were gone. Let the Shield be the most powerful heel faction the WWE has seen in ages and let them excel in the ranks and get tag title and maybe even a singles title in the group as well, it’s what is needed right now.
Swagger vs. Del Rio….Having Zeb Colter has helped Jack Swagger pursue the position he has needed in the WWE for a long time. He has the in-ring skills to be one of the best this generation has seen. With Zeb as the mouthpiece for Swagger, it has hit a massive cord with the fans and some news sources out in the so called real world. Whether the WWE will let him win the title against Del Rio, that’s another thing. Del Rio has proven (to me anyways) that he can be a fan favorite and still put on one hell of a good performance as a face. I may not fully agree with how they are doing the storyline to propel the two, but I have to admit, it has stirred the pot quite a bit. As Bischoff has once said, Controversy Creates Cash.
CM Punk vs Undertaker at Wrestlemania…you know it will happen. Thing is, it should have been for the Title vs. The Streak. That plan was nixed for the Rock to go against Cena but unfortunately, there isn’t anything any of us can do about it anymore. This match could be the match of the entire PPV. We know that Punk can put on a match even when he is sick and the Undertaker hasn’t been 100% for quite awhile, but he still puts forth one hell of an effort to please the fans. This will be one for the ages. I have heard a rumor that Taker wouldn’t mind losing his streak to Punk, will it happen? Time will only tell but I think it would be absolutely wonderful if that would happen.
Dolph Ziggler…Mr. Fever has commented to me that I should put in my thoughts about Dolph. Why is the WWE continually having him lose matches? The fans have been flipping out each time we think he will cash in the money in the bank case. Hell he does have until about July to cash it in, so there is no real guarantee that he will cash in at Wrestlemania. So this ordeal that everyone is going through with him either cashing in or not could be going on for a while. I would find it hard to believe they would have him cash in against Del Rio at WM only because they are trying to build the Latino fan base around Del Rio and to have him lose at the grand daddy event would only have them walk away if Del Rio would lose. I could conceivable see Ziggler cashing in at the next PPV, but at WM, I would doubt it very much. Besides, the WWE is probably enjoying seeing the fans going nuts over this particular situation.
Ummm, where in the hell is Christian and why aren’t they using him? I understand that the writers have no storyline for him right now, but guys, come on, get the ball rolling here. Aside from Punk being the best person in the WWE on the mic as well as in-ring work, Christian is the number 2 man that is pure magic on the mic and very talented with his in-ring work as well. I don’t see Jericho doing anything right now, so why not have Jericho and Christian have a match at WM? The details could be hashed out in the ensuing weeks before the PPV. We know both of these guys can put on great matches, so having them in the ring together would be a fabulous idea. (yes, I am aware they wrestled one another at #20-hell this seems to be the year of repeats, why would this match be any different? Plus Trish Stratus is being inducted into the Hall of Fame——hmm.)
Jericho vs. Christian-Wrestlemania 20
All I gotta say about Brock being cut open the hard way on this past Monday Night Raw…OUCH!!
Brock Lesnar Busted the hard way.
That’s my 3 cents worth, til next time……
