The TLC PPV is but a mere day away and will anyone watch it?? If it was a free PPV, it would be worth watching in my opinion. But to fork over 50 bucks for the thing, I don’t think so. Seeing as how I am a columnist on a wrestling website, I will have to watch the thing if only to give my opinion on the evening’s matches. So the reason why I am writing a day before the PPV is to give my predictions for the event. It’s a thing I do for every PPV, so here we go….

Mark Henry vs. Big Show in a Chairs match for the World Heavyweight Championship…..The two biggest men in the WWE go at it again. I’m confident that there will be plenty of bent chairs by the end of this “match.” But my belief is that Henry will still come out the winner in this match. Then Bryan will come out and smack Henry with a chair finally setting up a feud between the two that will last for awhile and well into WM. Don’t like that opinion, it’s the only one that counts because the PTB (powers that be) need to get Bryan into the storyline soon so that WM will be his possible time to pull off a David vs. Goliath type match at WM and a possible win at that.

HHH vs. Kevin Nash in a Sledgehammer match-shouldn’t the PPV be called TLCS? After trying to stomach the “match” between Nash and Santino, I have to say Nash should retire. That match was PAINFUL to witness and all Nash did was a lot of big foot moves and his power slams. Blah…now we throw in HHH and a sledgehammer and are expected to like the match. I could careless about HHH and you know how I feel about Nash. More than likely it will come down to Nash getting the hammer but then HHH will rally and turn it on Nash and use it instead. Bottom line it will be HHH winning the match.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Zach Ryder for the US Championship…This will be one of the highlight matches of the evening. Zach is over with the fans so much and Ziggler is well on his way to being the number one heel in the WWE right now, and the guy can wrestle. In order to move Ziggler up the line to main event status he will have to drop the title to Ryder (finally)..unless of course Cena does decide to show up and somehow screws (unintentionally-supposedly) Ryder out of a win. It will be a good match.

Randy Orton vs. Wade Barret in a Tables match…This is a toss up for me, on the one hand, Orton is the fan favorite and still has the goods to get the job done in the ring. On the other, Barrett is getting his chance to move up the ladder to better and better things. It will be a hell of a match considering they both can put on a good show and good match. I wish I could predict the winner in this one, but it is just too damn close to call. Maybe they will have a controversial ending where they both go through the table at the same time and are both “knocked out” to have to end the match. That way neither one is the weaker opponent and can set up a match for the Royal Rumble.

CM Punk vs. The Miz vs. Alberto Del Rio in a Triple Threat Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match for the WWE Championship…..The match of the night only because Punk is in it. He can do no wrong right now and with it being a true TLC match, it will be classic. The two men he is going against can hold their own in the match, but as I understand it, the PTB backstage have cooled on Del Rio as the top heel as well as Miz. Yes Miz is pretty good as a heel, but he hasn’t taken that next step to really get over as such. Maybe it will be a set up to have Ziggler move up to said status once Punk wins the match.

Cody Rhodes vs. Booker T for the Intercontinental Championship….It’s too soon for Booker T to win the IC title, it will be a good match only for the fact that I won’t have to hear Booker on the mic during the match. He’s a good wrestler, but as far as commentary is concerned, I could do without it. Rhodes is definitely someone I didn’t see making a name for himself as he has done, I had thought it was going to be Dibiase instead, I was wrong on that one. So in the end, Rhodes will pull out a win, but the feud should continue for awhile.

So “Mick-Santa Claus” cured Hornswoggle’s inability to talk? Guess it’s one way of doing it. And it kinda gives the little guy a bit more to do…right?? I sure am hoping Santino isn’t gonna be a jabroni to the stars and shortly become future endeavored, I like the guy and his antic… Why isn’t Sheamus on the PPV?…. If Cena is shown maybe in the crowd at the PPV, will he get attacked by Kane? Seeing as how they are turning Kane heel again, is it really a good idea for him to have a possible feud with Cena? Seeing as how half the fans hate Cena, you will hear a lot of cheering for Kane if he does attack John. Guess it could backfire doing it this way, but anything is better than nothing with the return of Kane and his Michael Myers looking mask…. One last tidbit, the mysterious promos we have been seeing as of late on someone showing up on January 2nd, 2012 may not be Chris Jericho, but could be Brodus Clay. It does make sense seeing as how they keep saying he will be making his debut and doesn’t, Hmmm…..

That’s my 3 cents worth, til next time……
