Vince McMahon blows up on the creative team:
WWE Charmian Vince McMahon was said to have been livid backstage on Monday due to Raw’s recent low ratings, and has put creative on notice to turn the show around. To show that he was not messing around he removed Senior Vice President of Creative Writing Brian Gewirtz from his position and replaced him with Eric Pankowski. The job involves vetting Raw and Smackdown scripts and ideas before giving them to Stephanie and Vince for further approval.
The reason the Mr. McMahon character returned last night was to draw a ratings boost. This may also be why the Ryback/CM Punk storyline has been taken to the next level, when the original plan was for it to be slowly built over several months.

Video of Punk attacking fan at the end of Raw:
There was an incident at the end of Raw when CM Punk escaped in to the crowd, which resulted in a fan getting hit in the face. Naturally in a crowd of people there was some nudging going on and a a few fans trying to pat Punk, but he seems to have assaulted an innocent fan. Video evidence shows a Hispanic fan first tapping Punk on the shoulder. Punk however is the first person to get aggressive, literally pushing the fan away. The fan then retaliates with a push of his own but Punk ignores him. A larger fan standing behind punk is then nudged forward a few times, causing Punk to snap and physically attack him.
This video shows the immediate assault.

Fan reports note than McMahon was visibly angry in the ring and barked at the stage manager to do something.
[Editor's Note: This is extremely unprofessional behavior by Punk, verging on Assault. A show or not, it was punk who ventured in to the crowd and Punk who was first to show aggression. To then Punch a fan without assessing the situation, or simply moving forward a step and ignoring it, is pretty low. Good old fashioned heel heat? Of course, but in WWE's corporate environment, if they're going to show any consistency this fan should be duly compensated and Punk suspended.]
