William Regal posted the following message on his Twitter account on Friday night in reference to his past issues with substance abuse. He noted that he remains humble, possibly referencing that other wrestlers do not:

William Regal honors the passing of his hero
Mick McManus has passed away. While most wrestling fans here in the United States are not familiar with him, he's definitely someone that William Regal knows. McManus was one of his childhood heroes and one of three guys that inspired Regal to become a professional wrestler. The WWE star posted a special message on Twitter.
