Last night's clash between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, held live at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium, continues to stir conversation today.
Most of the comments, however, are quite negative.
As reported by Maxime Albors of HABSolumentFan, Mike Tyson and Jake Paul have been officially suspended following their Friday night fight.
Both boxers, of course, earned a massive payday from the event and aimed to deliver a spectacle, but it came with a caveat.
According to The Mirror, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) had set a condition even before the Paul/Tyson fight took place.
Both fighters were going to be suspended after the fight, regardless of the final result.
The medical disqualification of a competitor is for their own safety and may be carried out on the recommendation of the ringside physician or the TDLR,according to the regulations.
This means a suspension of three days per round fought. In the case of a technical knockout (TKO), the defeated boxer would face a minimum 30-day suspension.
As for the show itself, I was also disappointed, probably like many of you, but I really enjoyed the comments from both fighters after the event.
It ended on a classy note, and I believe Tyson genuinely gave it his all.
More details to come.
