Puerto Rican boxer Amanda Serrano expressed her frustration following a highly controversial ending to her super lightweight bout against Katie Taylor.
Taylor retained her title with a unanimous decision after all three judges scored the fight 95-94. However, the outcome was clouded by several headbutts that many felt was intentional.
In a post-fight interview, Serrano didn’t hold back when discussing the headbutt.
"I think 100 percent, because she does it in every fight," Serrano said when asked if she thinks Taylor's headbutts were intentional.
Serrano went on to explain that this was not an isolated incident, recalling similar occurrences in Taylor’s past fights, including a notable one with Chantelle Cameron.

In a lighter moment following the fight, Serrano took to X to share a photo of her eye cut along with a humorous caption.
"To my fans I’m going to always give it everything I have. I’m a ruthless warrior & Katie is my buddy but Damn her best attribute is her head. No punching power but hard ass head lol."
Serrano suffered a deep cut above her right eye after an accidental clash of heads in Round 4. The injury had a clear impact on Serrano’s performance. Despite this, she fought on, determined not to let the injury dictate the outcome.
The referee did take action, deducting a point from Taylor in the eighth round for targeting the cut. However, the damage had already been done, and many fans at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, felt that the decision was unjust.
The crowd reacted with boos when Taylor’s win was announced, with some arguing that the repeated headbutts were decisive in the fight's outcome.
