Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn (23-0, 14 KOs) will headline the first-ever Ring Magazine UK card on April 26 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The fight will take place at middleweight, and the boxing world will finally get to see these two fight and settle this bitter rivalry. This rivalry stems back to 2022 when their original fight was cancelled due to two failed drug tests from Benn. Ahead of fight night ex-super middleweight world champion George Groves has spoken to Casino Apps and given his views on the upcoming April 26 showdown.
George Groves has a unique insight into what it’s like fighting Eubank Jr (34-3, 25 KOs), having beaten him in 2018 by a unanimous decision (117-112, 116-112 and 115-113). When speaking to Casino Apps, Groves was clear about who wants this fight more: “This will be the biggest fight of Conor Benn’s career and it’s the biggest fight of Eubank’s career in terms of the build-up and what is at stake. But when it comes to their mindset for training, it might be very different.”
“Conor Benn will leave no stone unturned. He’s working harder than he’s ever worked before and Eubank isn’t. He’s training hard and he’s taking it seriously, but he’s not obsessing about it, he’s not thinking about this fight day in, day out, every moment.”
Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn takes centre stage, but the undercard features intriguing matchups, including Smith vs McKenna and Riley vs Clarke, among others.
