Floyd Mayweather's The Money Team lost of one of its most talented fighters.
Boxing prodigy Danny Gonzalez was shot and killed on Labor Day officials confirmed, according to TMZ Sports. The 22-year-old was in Moreno Valley, Calif., on Sept. 7 around 9 p.m. when someone approached him and opened fire.
Deputies and paramedics responded to the incident, but Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other people who were with Gonzalez were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No suspects have been identified in the case, but WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman took the time to confirm the the tragic news of Gonzalez's death via Twitter on Tuesday.

Gonzalez signed with Mayweather's The Money Team in 2016 and with TMT Promotions when he turned 18.
He had three professional fights before stepping away from the sport in 2017. Earlier this year, he suggested a comeback was in the works.
