Floyd Mayweather has received backlash from a popular fighter for agreeing to face Mike Tyson.
On Thursday evening, the legends announced they will share the ring in an exhibition bout in 2026.
The pair have shared a rivalry since Tyson took issue with Mayweather, saying he’s greater than Muhammad Ali.
In all likelihood, the showdown will do huge numbers, much to the dismay of another boxer, who wishes it were he that ‘Money’ had agreed to fight.
Ryan Garcia would’ve reveled in the opportunity to have gone toe-to-toe with Floyd Mayweather.
A clash between ‘King Ry’ and the 50-0 icon would’ve undoubtedly caught the imagination of the combat sports community.

With this in mind, the active fighter took to social media to vent his frustrations.
He tweeted: “Floyd should’ve just fought me.”
Regardless, Garcia isn’t getting his wish, with Mayweather set to trade leather with Mike Tyson.
However, this isn’t the first time they’ll have crossed paths.
On one occasion, the former world heavyweight champion attempted to scare his nemesis.
In a shocking turn of events, Tyson pretended to throw a punch at Mayweather.
