Thursday’s weigh-in ceremony ahead of Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson did not disappoint. The face-off delivered the drama that will be played millions of times on social media and have the world tuning in tomorrow night on Netflix.
Jake Paul looked jacked on the scale as he weighed 227.2; 27 pounds north of what he weighed in July against Mike Perry. On the other hand, Tyson came in a little under five pounds lighter from his last pro fight in 2005, coming in at 228.4 pounds. When Tyson walked over to face off with Paul, Tyson slapped him with his right hand, causing a huge commotion on the stage. Tyson appeared visibly annoyed and didn’t want to participate in the post-weigh-in interview. All he said was, “The talking is done.” Meanwhile, Paul went into heel character and, when interviewed, said towards the end of it, “I’m f------ him up. He hits like a b----. It’s personal now. He must die!”
