Most Valuable Promotions is likely to get a boost in visibility after landing a new signing.
Following his defeat to Anthony Joshua late last year, Jake Paul was handed an indefinite suspension as he recovered from some notable injuries.
The decision to take on a former two-time heavyweight champion drew plenty of attention, with the fight bringing more viewers than expected to Netflix.
While there’s no word yet on who Paul might face next, he has confirmed that a move into MMA isn’t in the plans.
In the meantime, Most Valuable Promotions continues to build its roster. Their latest addition has followed a similar path into combat sports as “The Problem Child.”
Jake Paul’s promotion has played a major role in putting women’s boxing into the spotlight in recent years.
Events like Katie Taylor’s trilogy bout with Amanda Serrano on Netflix have set a new bar for what is possible in the female side of the sport.
MVP announced a list of new signings on January 29, which included Jully ‘Poca’ Oliveira, who they proudly announced as the most followed female fighter in the world.
The Brazilian, who has 6.8 million followers across various platforms, built her social media presence with workout videos before an unplanned event significantly boosted this.
A video went viral of Oliveira beating up an Uber driver who was assaulting two women in the street, which then led to her having several amateur fights in Misfits Boxing.
She has now vacated her Misfits cruiserweight title after signing with MVP to make the transition into the pro ranks at 31 years old.
Jully ‘Poca’ Oliveira wasn’t the only new face added to the MVP roster recently.
The likes of WBC featherweight champion Tiara Brown and IBF junior middleweight titleholder Oshae Jones have also joined the promotion.
Paul later posted a photo of himself stepping off a plane, with all of the new signings gathered in front of him, to mark the occasion.
He wrote on X: “My passion for boxing starts from stepping in the ring, but it’s equally about what I contribute to the sport outside of it and using my platform to push boxing to the biggest audiences possible in the world. Tiara Brown, Oshae Jones, Jully Poca, LeAnna Cruz, Miranda Reyes, and Elise Soto, welcome to MVP.”
